Sysdig Monitor now offers two layers of notification customization. Alert Notification Templates continue to define the title and body sent for an individual alert. New Custom Notification Templates extend templating to the channel level: they adapt the notification payload to the format the receiving third-party platform expects.

Custom notification templates are created per channel type, starting with PagerDuty, and apply to the notification channels of that type. Both layers use the same dynamic variables, so one template can serve multiple alerts: each variable is replaced with the values of the alert that triggered the notification. You can now filter the alerts feed by two new counters: Unreported Metrics/Labels shows alerts with one or more unreported metrics or labels, and Not Checked shows alerts skipped because one or more metrics or labels were fully or partially unreported. For more information, see Filter by Counter.

You can now create automated workflows that run when an alert fires, using conditional logic to route notifications to the right channels. For more information, see Alert Automations.

Sysdig Sage is now available in Sysdig Monitor. Sysdig Sage is an AI-powered assistant that helps you troubleshoot Kubernetes issues and explore metrics using multi-step conversations in plain language. You can use Sysdig Sage to investigate incidents, translate natural language into PromQL queries, and explore cluster health and resource utilization.

To get started, create a custom role with Sysdig Sage access and assign it to the relevant teams. For more information, see Sysdig Sage for Monitor.

You can now export the Events feed as a CSV file directly from the Sysdig Monitor Events page. The export reflects all active filters, severity selections, and the selected time range. For more information, see Export Events.

You’ll receive a notification when an Events Limit Cleanup job is triggered. It is important to note that no changes are made to the data retention, only a message is added that gives you insight into this existing action. For more information, see Cleanup Event Data and Data Retention.

You can now configure notifications to display timestamps in local time instead of UTC. This setting applies globally to all notifications sent from the system.

UTF-8 Support for Alert Names in Email Notifications

The email notification channel now supports UTF-8 characters in alert names. This allows you to use non-latin characters in alert names without formatting or delivery issues.

Autocomplete is now available when entering variables in the template editor. To see available variables, type {{ in the template editor. For more information, see Supported Variables.

You can now configure who receives email notifications when a notification channel fails. For more information, see Notification Channel Failure Alerts.

• Dashboard Section Grouping: You can now group panels into sections, making large dashboards easier to organize and manage.

• Customizable Table Column Headers: The Table panel now lets you relabel column headers and reorder columns to match your preferred layout.

• Persistent Query View Selection: The panel editor now remembers your preferred query mode (Form or PromQL) and automatically loads it the next time you open the panel.
