Custom Notification Templates
A custom notification template defines how an alert notification is formatted for the third-party platform that receives it. Each template is defined for a channel type, such as PagerDuty, and applies to the notification channels of that type. Because custom notification templates support the same dynamic variables as alert notification templates, one template can serve multiple alerts: each variable is replaced with the values of the alert that triggered the notification.
Use custom notification templates when the default payload does not match what your receiving platform expects.
If no custom notification template applies, Sysdig uses the default notification template for the channel type.
Title Precedence
Sysdig uses the most specific title available, resolving in this order from lowest to highest precedence: the default title, the custom notification template, then the alert notification template.

Create a Custom Notification Template
Log in to Sysdig Monitor.
Select Settings > Notifications > Notification Templates.
Select Add Notification Template.
Under Template Details, enter a Name for the template, and optionally a Description.
Select the Use Case, such as Alerts.
Select the Channel Type, such as PagerDuty.
Define the template title and body. You can use custom text and dynamic variables.
Select Save.
